Kimball W. Mason
After graduating from the University of Idaho College of Law in 1981, I served as a deputy prosecuting attorney for Bonneville County, then was elected Prosecuting Attorney for Bonneville County and appointed Idaho Falls City Prosecuting Attorney. I held the Bonneville County position for 12 years and was the Idaho Falls City Prosecutor for 24 years, during which time I took over a dozen capital homicide cases to successful trial, as well as handled thousands of misdemeanor and felony cases. I served as Chairman of the Idaho Criminal Justice Council for 4 years, administering and evaluating Federal grant applications for Idaho Law enforcement. I taught local law enforcement for 12 years, and served as Idaho Post Academy and Idaho National Laboratory Security Instructor for Search and Seizure, Laws of Arrest, Elements of Offense recognition and Investigation, as well as taught a college level Paralegal class through the local community college for two years.
Since surrendering my law license in 2006, my work has been largely that of an investigator and legal assistant providing litigation support, with an emphasis on fact development, witness and exhibit preparation, and records review/discovery compliance, particularly with medical records. I worked as an investigator/legal assistant, first at Nalder Law Office in Idaho Falls, Idaho, which work included an emphasis on family law, criminal law, personal injury, estate planning and general business litigation, and then remotely at Morley Mason in Chandler, Arizona which work included an emphasis in personal injury, family law, general business litigation support, criminal law and Worker’s Compensation defense.
